Reports from Asante Akora a suburb of Nsawam in the Eastern Region.
Indicated that a 19-year-old JHS pupil has committed suicide by hanging himself.

Joshua Mensah was found hanging on a tree at the back of thier house.

Ansah to the Nsawam Police Station.
On arrival by the Police together with the complainant to the scene at Asante Akora
They found the deceased hanging in a nylon rope on a pear tree in a garden.
The body was found wearing a light blue sweater and deep blue shorts.
On inspection, bruises were seen on the neck, with a protruding tongue.

The distance between the tree and the neck measured 6 inches, from the foot to the ground was 5 inches, and from the tree to the ground measured 6ft, 12 inches.
The Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, Sargent Francis Gomado said, preliminary investigation reveals that deceased went to sleep with his four other siblings but on the next day off June 6, 2020, about 5:30 am, father of the deceased woke up only to detect that the son was not in bed.

He started looking for him only to find the body hanging on a tree in the house.
The body is deposited at Nsawam Government Hospital morgue.
