Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has come out to reveal that President Nana Addo didn’t seek their counsel before lifting the partial lockdown.
Dr. Titus Bayuo however stated, the President only summoned them for a talk after the decision
Which they perfectly agree with him.

“We were not consulted prior to the decision being made. But after the decision was the president found it necessary to inform us and after listening to him, he has our blessings,”
Dr. Titus Bayuo said GMA are also concerned about the economic wellbeing of the country.
The President in his meeting earlier today with GMA noted that his administration was compelled to lift the restriction on movement in Greater Accra, Kasoa and Greater Kumasi because consistently, test results over the last three weeks,
Have remained constant in terms of infection rate, death rate, persons who are moderately ill, amongst others.
“It is that constancy, that robustness of the data that we have in Ghana,
that is inspiring our decisions,” – Akufo-Addo added.
“As President of this country, I cannot also ignore the impact that this lockdown is having on several constituencies of our country,
specifically those who are a very important part of the Ghanaian equation, the people who live, ‘hand-to-mouth.
