Thomas Partey has extender his contract with Atletico Madrid which was due to expire in 2019 for three more years. This means he will be with the team through the 2022 season. In a video statement posted on twitter Partey expressed his gratitude for the extension and promised to give his all to the club. His statement included the following.
“I am very happy with my new contract and grateful for the faith shown in me,” the holding midfielder stated.
“I have always been very fond of this club and I want to keep on developing at Atletico.
“I will give everything for this club.”
The 23-year-old Ghanaian Born in Odumase Krobo, made the official first-team debut in November 2015. He has made 31 appearances and scored 3 goals for the team. He was also instrumental in helping the Ghana Black Star reach the semifinal in the AFCON 2017 tournament held in Gabon last month.
