Ghanians celebrate the 60th anniversary of the nation’s independence Monday the 6th , with events that include parade by students, military personnel, police and various civic organizations across the country. The parade at Independence Square in Accra was attended by heads of states or high ranking representative of at least 14 African countries as dignitaries from around the globe and members for the diplomatic corp.
Addressing the nation at the parade the President Akuffo Addo who was sworn into office in January this year used the occasion urged Ghanaian to rise above ethnic interest and to realize that there is no more room for excuses after 60 years independence.
