We reported last week on how a woman now identified as Patience Sarfo was assaulted by a policeman at the Shaishie branch of Midlands savings and loans where she had gone earlier to withdraw her savings of GHC 250.
After video of the woman’s ordeal went viral, many Ghanaians shared their dissatisfactory in the policeman also identified as Lance Corporal Fredrick Amanor Aka Skalla who was later arrested by the police for assaulting the woman.
In the video, one could clearly see that a man was trying to take the baby being held by Madam Patience from her to enable the policeman to carry out his beatings well on her after she failed to leave the banking hall.
According to reports reaching us, the said man known as Prince has been also arrested by the police. This was made known by the father of the man who said he received a call from his son around 4:00 pm that he has been arrested by police and he should come and bail him out.
The father added that he was informed by his son who is only a driver for a different branch of the bank that he only went to deliver a letter at that bank only to be met with the incident and that all he did was to take the child from the woman outside to someone else and not for the policeman to continue beating her.
