Former Dutch midfielder of Ghanaian descent George Boateng has been named as the new deputy coach of the Under-18 side of promoted EPL outfit Aston Villa.
ghanaquest.com can exclusively reveal that the 43-year-old was handed the job on Sunday and will assist Richard Beale as they seek to make the youth team of the Lions very strong.
He is highly regarded in Villa having made a total of 103 appearances and scoring four goals during his playing career with them.
Boateng coached Malaysian side Kelentan FC during the 2015/2015 season and was last year the Under 13 head trainer of Blackburn Rovers.
