Football team in Burundi has announced its temporary suspension in the country due to the pressure from coronavirus.
In the awake of the covid-19 in the country currently Burundi Football Federation, has decided to completely shutdown all local competition across Africa.

Since March 30, Burundi had been the only African nation — and one of only five across the world — to have continued running domestic competitions despite the increasing encroachment of COVID-19.
In a statement released on Monday by FFB , and seen by ESPN says it was suspending local football.
FFB hope to resume domestic competitions before the end of May.
“In its meeting on April 12 2020, the executive committee of the FFB analysed the state of the progress of national competitions,
Which two qualifiers put forward for the international competitions,
the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup,”
