A military man has shot a policewoman at Tema while they were both on duty enforcing the government’s partial lockdown instituted by President Nana Akufo-Addo, as part of measures to curb the spread of coronavirus, which has, so far, killed six out of the three hundred thirteen confirmed cases.
It is not clear what triggered the shooting incident between the two security personnel.
According to reports the soldier shot the policewoman from the back.
The reports revealed that the female cop has been rushed to the Tema General Hospital and she is responding to treatment, adding that she is not in a critical condition.
The soldier in question has been detained at the Tema Naval Base.

The Inspector-General of Police and the top echelon of the Ghana Armed Forces, as of the time of filing this report, were on their way to the area of the incident.
This is the third shooting incident related to the enforcement of the two-week partial lockdown.
The first incident happened at Ashaiman where an armed soldier shot an unarmed civilian male dead.
The second incident happened in Kumasi where a civilian killed by a police man.
