The corpse of a man identified as Ivory popularly known as Buju was found breathing after the corpse was exhumed on Wednesday at Axim in the Western North region,.
The man had died and buried about a month ago.
This incident shook the spine and nerves of some of the residents in the area including the health officials at Axim hospital when the news was announced since it is unusual.
There was an agitation at Axim hospital after medical doctor who attended to man believed to be alive,pronounce him dead.
Explaining the rationale of exhuming the corpse in an interview with Kingdom FM‘s Odiasempa Kofi Boadi cum the Content Editor of My News Ghana , a member of the the youth group who went to exhume the corpse, Eric McCarthy said the wife of the deceased informed him to mobilize some youth to go and exhume the corpse of his late husband because the husband has revealed himself to her in a dream appealing to her to exhume his corpse because he’s not dead.
According to him, they rushed the man to Axim hospital after they realized that there is live in the man after he was exhumed.
McCarthy added that, non of the health professionals at the hospital attended to him earlier because they were scared.
He said a few minute latter, the medical doctor, who happened not to be around, arrived and attended to the man but he was pronounced dead again.
According to him, together with the other youths who besieged the hospital, resisted the attempt by the doctor to deposit the body of the in the morgue because they believed the man was not dead.
