Deloitte Ghana has appointed Daniel Kwadwo Owusu as its new Country Managing Partner.
A press statement issued by the Deloitte stated that Daniel Kwadwo Owusu’s leadership of one of Ghana’s leading providers of audit and assurance, tax and regulatory, consulting, risk advisory and financial advisory services, will commence, ‘effective 1st June 2020.’
He takes over the leadership from Charles Larbi–Odam, who will retire from Deloitte at the end of the company’s financial year, 31 May 2020.
Mr. Owusu stands to bring more than 22 years of accounting, internal and external audit experience to the Deloitte’s top executive post.
Prior to this, he worked in the Deloitte UK office as a Manager responsible for large engagements in the Financial Services sector, specializing in banking, insurance and pension fund companies for three (3) years.
In addition to working in the UK, Daniel worked in South Africa, Mali, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Kenya and Egypt.
Given his extensive experience in advisory services and a solid reputation in leading complex assignments across several sectors, Daniel is ideally placed to progress Deloitte Ghana’s onward expansion. He will continue as the Audit Leader for Ghana.
Daniel Kwadwo Owusu also enjoyed a dynamic and successful career as the Audit & Assurance leader in Ghana.
He was in charge of the business strategy and transformation of the line of service within the practice and served as the Professional Practice Director (PPD) for the Ghana Office, for about four years, before moving on to become the Lead Audit Partner.
As the new leader for Deloitte Ghana, Daniel will take up the responsibilities that focus on enhancing the depth and breadth of the Firm’s capabilities in supporting clients in this constantly evolving environment, and also strengthening the Deloitte brand in Ghana.
Confirming his appointment, Charles Larbi-Odam, outgoing Country Managing Executive said, “I can think of no one better to lead Deloitte Ghana at this time.
