Reports from Afram Plains in the Volta region of Ghana has it that a of a total of eight notorious armed have attacked some passengers on the road.
The robbers were said to be carrying shotguns, & cutlasses with face masks on, whiles attacking
passengers traveling from the Volta region to Donkokrom in the Afram Plains.
Yaw Vidjei, former assemblyman of the area said several passengers were attacked
Stating that;
The robbers shot at the first vehicle but the driver failed to stop after which they hijacked a motorbike which was following the vehicle to mount a road
blockage before robbing other vehicles amid gunshots which hit a 50-year-old passenger who is a stroke patient.
A Hyundai H200 with registration number GT 7615-10 was shot several times damaging the windscreen while the occupants were robbed.
The shot person is currently on admission at the Donkokrom Presbyterian Hospital.
