Eastern Regions’s Lower Manya Krobo was officially declared by Ghana Health Service free from coronavirus after all 70 cases have recovered.
But as of yesterday 12th June,2020 have recored 5 new cases.
Two of the cases are from clinically suspected cases while one was confirmed among travelers.
Subsequently, on June 3, 2020,the Eastern Regional Health Directorate declared the Municipality
Covid-19 free and approved reopening of Afcons Construction Company working on Tema to
Mpakadan Railway Project after recovery of its workers tested positive for Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Nkawkaw seems to be the second epicenter after Koforidua which has recorded 32 cases.
Nkawkaw case count is now 24 after one case was confirmed on Thursday.
The Kwahu West Municipal Health Director Celestine Asante explained on Nkawkaw based Agoo FM on Thursday, June 11, 2020, that, the confirmed cases are from 250 samples of the first three index cases recorded in March.

The subsequently confirmed cases from contacts traced are made of both Children and adults.
Eastern Region case count has increased significantly from 198 to 208 within 24 hours.
