Contrary to earlier reports that changes to be done on the technical team of the black Stars was to take effect from the AFCON 2021 qualifiers, Oyerepa FM can report that it won’t be so for the first two qualifiers.
Following Ghana’s disastrous 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, coach Kwesi Appiah decided to relieve some personalities off their post from his technical team with assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko and Technical co-ordinator Stephen Appiah and Goalkeepers trainer Richard Kingson set to lose their roles in the Black Stars

In place of the former Black Stars captain, Appiah will be Sabahn Quaye, who returns as the new Stars team manager after a five-year absence.
On the other hand, Black Stars B goalkeepers’ trainer, Najau Issah, has been proposed to replace Kingson as well as C.K Akonnor to replace Tanko.
But the latest development indicates that, the three personalities will still be at post for the first two qualifying matches.
The Black Stars will open their AFCON 2021 Group C qualifying campaign against South Africa on November 14, followed by the Sao Tome clash three days later (November 17, 2019).
The Cameroun 2021 AFCON qualifiers will be played between November 2019 and November 2020.
The two top teams from each of the 12 groups will qualify for the tournament.
