Ghana Black Stars skipper, Andre Ayew has lauded Ghana Police for the release of student-nurse Awal Suleman who invaded the pitch during the 2-0 win over South Africa.
Awal predicted a 2-0 win over South Africa and told his colleagues that if it goes through he will pull a crazy celebration on the Cape Coast Stadium of which he did as he eluded security personnel and run through the pitch halting play in the 84th minute.
The former Apam Senior High School 400 metres runner outwitted four police men in a hot chase before being finally grabbed.

He was locked in cells and the Police had wanted to arraigned him before court which many Ghanaians including Ayew spoke against as the act was normal in football and he was just needed to be made to sign a bond of good behavior.
Ayew tweeted on Saturday morning asking for the release of Ayew and with the help of the GFA the student-nurse was taken out of cell.
“Thank you @GhPoliceService Awal Suleman has been released from Police custody.” Ayew tweeted.
This was the first time a fan had invaded pitch in a top national team game.
