Emerging Afro-pop songstress, Abigail Owusu, known in the showbiz circles as Wredua has announced a brand new single to conclude the year 2017.
According to Wredua, the track is titled “Weyo” and it’s an Afro-pop record which will be accompanied by a classic music video.
Produced by Danny Beatz and film directed by Slingshot HD, the Chalimuzik signed vocalist says “Weyo” is based on her life experience in the music and corporate world adding that it’s a “party song to release stress after a hard day’s work”.
On what makes “Weyo” unique from the plethora of similar records already dominating in the showbiz industry, she divulged; “the energy in vocal delivery and lyrical content makes it unique. It’s going to add value to Ghanaian music.”
“The song and the video is unique because, both song and video capture the Ghanaian and Nigerian culture, and friendship. And, it also tells the positive thinking of Ghanaians as how we can create something beautiful out of our past pain or suffering,” she added.
She stressed; “It has too much potential to overtake many songs, not even to compete.”
Wredua also concluded that the song “goes to all”.
“Weyo” has been scheduled for release in November 2017.
