Dynamics
The Abuakwa South seat has been held by incumbent member of parliament and the minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, the Hon. Samuel Atta-Akyea since the year 2008. Before that, it was held by President Akuffo-Addo who had then become the flag bearer of the NPP. Ms. Ofori Boadu contested in the primaries that year together with two other candidates against Hon. Atta Akyea. In that primaries, she polled 10 votes against Atta Akyea’s 49 votes coming third ahead of one Nana Fredua Ofori-Atta who polled five votes. Can she break the 3 times unbeaten streak of Hon. Atta-Akyea?
