The President of Ghana Olympic Committee, Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah agured GOC has become attractive during his tenure in office.
“When I took over as the GOC President, GOC was not attractive. Most of the sports journalist do not want to talk about what we called the Least Financed Sports because they feel they have been neglected, because during the previous administration, is only one person who used to traved with GOC always”
When I came, most journalist has opportunity to travel with GOC for assignment, as compared to the previous when is only one person who always travel with the GOC, like of Gabby, Bendict Owusu of Muti-Media, Wallace of rainbow radio among others.

Now, a lot of Sports journalists are now talking about GOC and the laest Financed sports, not football alone. some even create whatsapp platforms for the Least Financed sports. It tells you every journalists now want to talk about GOC. Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah told Onua fm sports presenter Kwaku Osei winter.
He said the media has a big role to play in the development and promotion of sports, so they should be focused on the positives of the industry to attract more sponsors and fans at the stadia.
When GOC is doing a program and you didn’t invite them, they called you , President, why you didn’t invite me, why President do you want to take me away from GOC? it shows everyone now associate him/her self with GOC and wants to talk about GOC and have was able to secure 11 Sponsors within two years.
Even the current Secretary General for GOC Richard Akpokavie was supporting Prof. Francis Dodoo but when I came I am working with him, and now we are brothers. I have also created Sub-Committee and almost all the Federations head are on it, that has been my leadership style.
He said the Amasaman Sports Complex for juveniles is taking shape gradually and thanked former GOC president, B. T. Baba for securing the land.
He also called for accountability and transparency in sports administration as he tries to source for funds from ANOCA and other sponsors for Ghana Sports.
Recently, I went to ANOCA, for money and I am going to share the monies for all the Federations who are playing the qualifiers ahead of the Olympic games Tokyo 2020, The Black Meteors, Rugby, Badminton have all received theirs. Athletics and all the other Federations who will be playing the qualifier will all have their share
