Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency (MP), Bryan Acheampong has expressed worry at the negligence of the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to complete the Abetifi hospital.
According to him, it is absurd for the people of Kwahu East with a population of about hundred thousand not to have a proper hospital.

He revealed that it is the vision of the government to make sure the contractor returns to site to complete the project.
He alleged that a chunk of the money approved by the British government as the financiers of the hospital project in Abetifi was used for activities not related to the hospital project.
According to him, an amount of US$6m dollars was taken out of the hospital project to conduct a survey to determine which political party will win in 2016 polls by the previous government.
Mr. Acheampong noted that the funds allocated for the construction of the project was used for other purposes and argued if the NDC were in power, they would not have completed the project.
According to him, investigations conducted by both the British and Ghana governments show that the money was used for different activities by the NDC.
The NPP government, he said, has however sourced money to complete the project.
He assured chiefs and elders of Abetifi that the contractor will return to site by the end of next year to complete the work.
“I can assure you and the people of Kwahu that our hospital that has become a social media sensation will be completed,” he assured.
He pleaded with Ghanaians to make sure they vote for a political party that is committed to the development of the country, which is the NPP government.
Giving an overview of some developmental projects in the area, he said they have constructed close to 100 boreholes that are currently being mechanized.
He stated that by the end of next year they will finish with the mechanization of all the 120 boreholes that have been constructed and promised to do more for the people.
The Minister at the Office of the President in charge of Security averred that their vision as a party is to build a foundation for a happy and educated prosperous society in the next ten years (2030).
Setting a target for the people of Kwahu, he stated that by 2040, the Kwahu area will be the number one society in the country and tasked the people to support the vision.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Kwahu East, Isaac Agyapong, revealed that some of the development projects include provision of school blocks for the Nteso Anglican Primary, Ahenase KG, Motta Mireku KG and Hyewohoden KG.
He indicated that, under his watch they have helped communities like Asikam and Abene with a durbar ground and a police post for the people of Hweehwee.
Mr. Agyapong disclosed that they have been able to maintain 100km feeder roads in the area and constructed ten number culverts on selected roads.
According to him, the Bryan Acheampong Foundation has been able to give scholarships to about 100 teachers with 70 of them currently pursuing degree course at the Abetifi Presbyterian University
According to him, the foundation in its quest to promote the vision of the president has supported about 2,000 farmers in the area with farm inputs such cutlasses, boots and others.
The foundation, he said, has been able to register about 1,000 children on health insurance scheme.
He pledged that with the help of the MP for the constituency and President of the country, Kwahu East will see massive development projects in subsequent years.
