President Akufo-Addo on Monday, April 20, 2020, swore into office Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye, MP for Ledzokuku, as the new Deputy Minister for Health.
At a short ceremony at the Jubilee House, Accra, at which the President administered the Oaths of Office, Secrecy, and Allegiance to Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye and charged him to give his best to serve mother Ghana.
Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye promised the President of his commitment to the fight against COVID-19 and said he will use all his expertise to ensure this turns out successful.
“I am going to give all my energy, strength and all I have learnt in the medical practice and public health to ensure that we succeed in this fight against COVID-19″.
In a short remark, President Akufo-Addo said, Dr Okoe-Boye appointment comes at a very challenging and difficult time for our nation. But, I am very confident that he has what it takes to confront this challenge and add his talent and energy to the work of the Government.
