The Accra-Tema motorway has been taken over by floodwater following Monday, October 28, 2019 afternoon heavy downpour.
The Monday rainfall which lasted more than an hour flooded the entire motorway compelling motorists on both ends of the dual-carriage expressway to park their vehicles.

Most passengers and commuters either going to Accra or Tema were helpless as they had to wait in the rainwater for it to subside before they could continue their journey.
Meanwhile, personnel from the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) were yet to get to the scene of the incident to help commuters as at the time of filing this report.
The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA) has predicted of more heavy rains in the coming weeks and one wonders the state of preparedness of the country.
