28th edition of the CAF Awards celebrated African footballers and officials who distinguished themselves during 2019.
The night saw Sadio Mane and Asisat Oshoala were crowned as African Player of the Year and African Women’s Player of the Year.

Mane was expectedly crowned as the African Player of the Year, securing 477 votes, nudging out his Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah with 325 votes. Mane is the second Senegalese footballer to ever claim the award after ex-Red El Hadji-Diouf won in 2002.
