The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted the headmistress of the KNUST Senior High School in Kumasi over the fatality of a final year student.
Richard Leonard Sam of KNUST SHS passed away hours after he was sent to a medical facility after suffering stomach ache last Monday, July 6, 2020.

On Tuesday, July 7, the students implicated the teachers of overlooking the call for aid by the deceased after complaining of severe stomach ache.
The teachers reportedly told his companions not to obtain close to him for anxiety of being infected with the coronavirus illness (COVID-19) and also really did not even try to use him any kind of assistance, the students affirmed.
A press statement dated July 8, 2020, authorized by the Head of Public Relations Unit at the GES, Cassandra Twum Ampofo claimed the headmistress, Felicia Asamoah Dankwaa is to step aside for the Ashanti Regional Director of Education and learning to take control of the administration of the institution while the administration of the GES explores the circumstances that caused the death of the last year pupil of the school on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.
