Former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor has yesterday advised parties that are against the compilation of a new voters’ register to get their grievances heard in court after a delegation from the group calling itself Mass Action Committee (MAC) paid a courtesy call on him yesterday.
According to reports cited by Ghanaquest.com, a delegation led by General Secretary of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) sought to get his advise and also add his voice to the voters’ register compilation which has drawn the country into a ‘For’ and ‘Against’ opinion divide.

Mr. Kufuor, advised parties and groups like the Inter-Party Resistance Against New Voters’ Register (IPRAN) to instead of using means like protests, rather fall on using the law by going to court where they might be able to compel the electoral commission to halt its decision of compiling a new register.
The Mass Action Committee, believes that the current system has complications that needs us to compile a new voters’ register in order to safeguard the country’s democratic processes. Speaking on Peace Fm’s morning show today, leader of the MAC, Mr. Atik Mohammed said that all who are privy to the details on the current voters’ register will support the compilation of a new one because of the country’s well being in the long run.
