Ghana has recorded four more new cases of Coronavirus bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to six and as such a website that will provide updates to the public every six hours on Ghana’s case.
The Risk Communication Team on COVID-19 who are behind the Covid-19 website says the site www.ghanahealthservice.org-/covid-19-/ will make it easy for Ghanaians especially journalists to have constant information updates on COVID-19 issues in the country as they unfold.
Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah made the announcement at a media briefing update on COVID-19 cases in Accra on Sunday.
The covid-19 website is to limit the number of fake news in the system and ensure that media houses at all times have correct facts and figures on confirmed cases.

Oppong-Nkrumah urged the media to refer to the official website and report on confirmed cases and other related issues.
He also spoke on the mass media campaign which has started on TV, radio, and social media on the disease adding that the Information Service Department would also be commencing a nationwide public campaign to inform people on the preventive measures.
The Minister said the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA), the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Editors Forum among others would be meeting on Monday to fine tune guidelines for media reportage and programming support with the Ghana Medical Association (GMA).
Meanwhile, So far the Coronavirus scourge has infected over 125, 000 people globally killing over 5000 people. However, over 60,000 people have also recovered from the infection.
Below is the travel advisory issued by government
TRAVEL ADVISORY
1. All travel to Ghana is strongly discouraged until further notice.
2. Any traveller, except for Ghanaian citizens, coming from or who has been to a country, that has recorded at least 200 cases of Covid-19 within the last 14 days, will not be admitted into the Ghanaian Jurisdiction. Airlines are instructed not to allow such persons to embark. Border posts are instructed not to allow such persons into the jurisdiction.
3. There will be a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine for persons who are otherwise allowed to enter the Ghanaian jurisdiction. Guidelines for self-quarantine will be availed at the various ports of entry. Enforcement protocols are being deployed in collaboration with state security and health authorities.
4. Any admissible traveller, who exhibits symptoms of Covid-19 will be quarantined and tested upon reaching Ghana.
