The Government of Ghana (GoG) has received a $570 million loan from the world bank, to be able to carry out projects in the country.
At a meeting in Accra, the minister of finance, Mr.Ken Ofori Atta signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) on behalf of government.
Speaking to the media, the minister for finance said that the loan facility was going to be used to undertake four projects which including the Accra Integrated Project which is aimed at working on the odo drains to help stop the perennial floods inhabitants of the capital city suffer from.
The other projects are The Ghana Accountability project which comes at a cost of $150 million and $45 million under the Ghana Venture capitals to support business startups.
The world bank representative, Mr. Piere Laporte also indicated that the aim of the loan facility is to help the country support its human capital as well as sustaining its natural resource.
