An on-screen character and hopeful Member of Parliament has revealed to Joy News a state vehicle adventure he was entangled in, won’t influence his odds of adding the Ayawaso West Wougon Parliamentary seat.
John Dumelo told Evans Mensah, host of PM Express, he didn’t do anything incorrectly.
“I went to the servicing area and they said the car is for the state. I said ‘ok, take it.’ They took it [and] I went back for my money and that was the end of the story. It has never been an issue,” Mr. Dumelo said on Tuesday night.
The entertainer was in 2017 blamed by government’s Assets Recovery Taskforce for declining to hand over a state vehicle.
Mr. Dumelo, who has ventured up his political tease with the resistance National Democratic Congress (NDC), faces firm challenge from Madam Afua Dogboe.
In front of the NDC’s Parliamentary Primaries booked for August 24, to choose who speaks to the gathering at the Ayawaso West Wuogon voting public, John Dumelo hosts been talking about how the get-together can come back to control in 2020.
He says all individuals from the gathering must be associated with gathering exercises particularly at the grassroots level.
As indicated by him, the gathering recently fizzled in light of the fact that it minimized the job of the grassroots.
“In 2016, we didn’t generally include everyone, the grassroots, particularly the branches. Everything was managed without the branches overlooking that the branches are the ones that really hold the gathering together,” he uncovered.
Mr. Dumelo has resolved to “include everyone in the gathering, from the top to the base” should he win the command of the NDC in the August 24 essential.
