In 2017 he was nominated for best sound engineer at the VGMAs for working on Joey B’s U x Me song produced by Kuvie along side the legendary Killbeatz in the same category. NOVA’s rise into mainstream music production commenced in 2017 after Sarkodie released his much anticipated HIGHEST album and named OVERDOSE produced by NOVA as track 2. He was then featured in the official video itself as Sarkodie told him “Overdose is his favorite song on the HIGHEST album” which is evident from visuals by NORTH PRODUCTIONS.
