Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. John Dramani Mahama will continue with the party’s SpeakOut tour in the Western North Region today.
Together with some leaders of the party and the party’s manifesto committee, the former president is continuing with meeting people in he region in a bid to hear from them and put their concerns.
Speaking to an Accra based FM station, Wednesday, Mr. Paul Evans Aidoo said Mahama was in Sefwi Wiawso where he met with various groups who cut across professionals and non-professionals sectors in the region.
“…the police came there, press was there not to cover the event but to be participants. Groups including those who make bread, GPRTU; everyone was there yesterday, at least with 6 to 10 representatives and we all sat at tables as JM moved from one table to another listening to peoples concerns and we got to see the things going on in country, Sefwi and the Western-North; and it was very interesting” he said
According to the former minister in charge of the then Western Region, although the team expected just about 250 people to be in attendance from the 25 groups invited, to yesterday’s meeting, the numbers that ended up at the venue “were heading towards 1000” adding that despite this, they were able to hear from everyone.

Mr. Paul Evans Aidoo said today’s tour will end at the Ghana border in that part of the country, Osei-Kojokrom.
“We are now ready to head to Osei-Kojokrom, Bia-West and Bia East…Adidiso, Esewu, Adabokrom and the others” he said.
According to him, they will be meeting will not be in groups as it was yesterday but rather will be done by meeting group in the various local industries and traditional leaders till they reach the border town of Osei Kojokrom. He said “It’s a new arrangement today. Today we will not be meeting the groups like we did yesterday. In the towns we will be visiting today, If we are to meet farmers, all the farmers in the town will come. Those who rear animals, cocoa farmers, those who do food crops, those who do bee keeping and all will come there for us to interact with them in the community adding that in some they will be meeting with traditional rulers.

They will also be meeting with farmers who are not from Sefwi but are cultivating farms there as well as farm hands and all.
