General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party James Kwabena Bomfeh popularly called Kabilla has accused political parties criticizing government as having played a role in suggesting the measures Ghana has adopted so far in fighting the novel Coronavirus disease.
According to Kabilla, political parties hitherto the rolling out of the various measures the country put in place met with the president and shared ideas that the government worked with, hence blaming the government alone will not be fair.
“At least, they may be wrong but the word we are getting is that even the World Health Organization is learning something from Ghanaians. Noguchi, the sequencing of this virus done by Noguchi; we’ve done well. What COVID-19 has brought is the opportunity to invest in our research institutions. That was one of the statements the CPP made there. Kwame, we made a certain suggestion and I saw the President do it” he said.

Speaking on the Kokrokoo Morning Show today, Mr. Bomfeh added that the suggestion that government gives stimulus packages to enterprises and utility support in the country was another suggestion made by the CPP which the government worked with adding that these are efforts that have been made although not enough.
“If I realize that all the comments you make about me are always negative, I will not be listening you. Why I will like you is that you balance me” he said, adding it details a bit of corrections, rebuke, encouragement and others that will keep the fight going.

Failure to get that, Kabilla said will only end up in a situation where all the comments a party will make will not be taken into account especially where the one party has nothing but negative comments where everyone is praising.
He believes that everything will be well in our fight against the COVID-19 only when citizens are committed to the wellbeing of this country especially in discipline.
