President Nana Akufo-Addo Tuesday named 13 persons, as the first set of ministerial nominees, who would help him to deliver on his mandate to make Ghana prosperous and great.
The nominees include, Yaw Osafo Maafo, Senior Minister; Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah for National Security, Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Trade and Industry and Mr Ken Ofori-Atta, Finance.
Others are Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Agriculture, Boakye Agyarko, Energy, Dominic Nitiwul, Defence and Mr Ambrose Dery for the Interior.
The rest are Ms Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, Foreign Affairs, Ms Gloria Akufo, Attorney-General and Justice, Hajia Alima Mahama, Local Government, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, Education and Mr Kwaku Agyemang Manu, Health.
President Akufo-Addo, who made the announcement at a media conference at the Jubilee House, said he had forwarded the nominations to the Speaker of Parliament for approval by the House.
He urged Parliament to work expeditiously as possible to approve the nominations to enable him to form his Government as soon as practicable for work to commence.
