Gari has become very expensive overnight after President Nana Addo declared that there will be a lockdown in some major cities effective Monday 30th March, 2020.
As such, a lot of people are doing panic shopping in other to fill their homes with enough food before their movements get restricted.
Sellers have taken advantage of the situation to also shoot up prices of their goods.
Gari for instance which would have sold for GHS20-GHS40 has now shot up to GHS60-GHS100.
People have no choice than to buy anyway.
