The Gadangbe Association of Southern California held the Annual Homowo bash over the memorial day weekend at the Brea Community. The community has been celebrating this event for the past 23 years with each being better than the previous year. The gathering gave association members and the larger Ghanaian community in the Southland a chance to take a break from their hectic lives to meet and socialize.
Johnnie Baisie and Stephen Laryea Odoi treat audience to traditional Ghanaian drumming
Attendees were treated to authentic traditional dishes including Kpokpoi, DJ Nana Yaw treated the crowd to an assortment of Ghanaian, Spanish and Reggae music. The night of celebration was caped with traditional cultural performance by Laryea Odoi and John Basie. The evening was time well spent for Ghana Quest agents who attended the event.
