According to some residents who spoke to JoyNews, the calls follow what they claim is the shambolic manner Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah handled investigations involving four missing girls in the Western Region capital, Takoradi, who are now declared dead.
The girls; Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, 18, Ruth Love Quayson 18, and Ruth Abeka were victims of a kidnapping and murdering syndicate in the Takoradi area, the acting Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh stated at a recent news conference.
The IGP said, that the results of the DNA test on remains retrieved in Takoradi have confirmed that.
The residents, all clad in red and black, also demanded the resignation of an officer of the CID, identified only as Amatepey, who first handled the case of the missing girls until his sudden transfer.
Spokesperson for the demonstrators, Benjamin Mensah, said this is one of series of demonstrations to hit the country until the four girls are reunited with their families.
