Black Meteors winger Evans Mensah reiterated that they are not afraid of any team in the 2019 AFCON U-23 tournament and they are ready to go for the ultimate.
Mensah who plays for HJK in Finland admits that Ghana’s group which comprises of Egypt, Mali and Cameroon is hard but they are well equipped to go through.
“Every country in Egypt is going to play football, the Group is difficult but at the end of the day is your mindset and your personality that you go to the field with that will determine whether you will win or lose.” Mensah told the media in Egypt
“We all agree that our group is tough but we do not care, at the end of the day, ours is to score and win for every one to see we are determined. What people are saying does not matter, we the players believe in ourselves and what we can do.”
“We are on course, if you look at the pool of players we have, we are all very talented and everyone is ready to fight for Ghana. Me myself, I cannot even wait for the tournament to start on Friday. Is a good platform for everyone to make Ghana proud. We are all eager for the competition and if you look at our training, every body is determined.”
Ghana will be hoping to make it to the Olympic games football for the first time since Athens 2004.
